The Eagle Scout is the highest rank a scout an achieve in Scouts BSA. Obtaining this rank requires years of hard work and growth as a leader of other scouts. To earn their Eagle, Scouts must have earned at least 21 merit badges which have taught them skills to help them in the outdoors, in their communities, and in their personal lives. They also must have held numerous leadership positions, including leadership of the Troop itself and helped guide their fellow scouts in the planning and execution of their activities. Finally, the Eagle Scout must plan and develop a service project to help their community, including fundraising, obtaining any necessary materials and permits, and leading a group of scouts and adults in the completion of the project. The Eagle Scout has learned to be confident in themselves and their abilities, the importance of helping those around them, and prepared them to be leaders the rest of their lives. Only about 4% of all Scouts earn the rank of Eagle. Troop 407 is honored to have the following Scouts achieve this incredible rank.
